Central Bank Consults Government for Moscow Exchange Exit Procedure and Timeline

The Central Bank of Russia is currently in consultations with the Russian government on the procedure and timeline of the regulator`s venture capital exit from the Moscow Exchange MICEX-RTS, Central Bank Deputy Chairman Sergey Shvetsov told the press Thursday.

"We are consulting the government on the procedure and timeline, these matters are not clear yet", he said.

Shvetsov added that the Central Bank intends to make a venture capital exit from the Moscow Exchange within five years.

"Technically they will be ready for IPO at the end of this year, and the actual IPO will happen next year, add two years to that and that`s how long we will reamain a shareholder", said Central Bank Deputy Chairman, adding that the exit has not been timed yet.
