Moscow Needs Highly-Qualified Foreign Personnel for the International Financial Center

11.10.2011 10:00 / RIA Novosti

Moscow authorities are looking to engage highly-qualified foreign personnel for the IFC formation, said Andrey Sharonov, Moscow Mayor’s Economic Policy Deputy, at the Moscow Government session on Tuesday. The International Financial Center (IFC) is to be created on the new territories of Moscow, which will be joined to the capital. "We are very interested in certain categories of expat workforce. Particularly, if they are highly-qualified personnel and can contribute to the IFC development", Andrey Sharonov said while debating the Moscow Economy programme 2012-2016. According to him, the current Moscow labor market is 6 million people; among them 2 million are migrants from countries outside of the CIS plus Moscow region residents who commute to Moscow for work. Mayor’s Deputy added that the city authorities will assist Moscow residents in employment with respectable wages. "The Moscow labor market structure looks unsatisfactory, including the current demand for jobs among Moscow residents. Our task is to help citizens get well-paid jobs and optimize the hiring of expats", Andrey Sharonov said. According to him, the "Labor Market Development and Employment" subprogramme envisions the optimization of employment in view of Moscow economic development priorities.
